Thanks to a Detroit Theater Organ Society Member who was able to rent a gas powered pump on Saturday afternoon, the basement of the Senate Theater is now drained of water and ready for remediation and repair work. Our conservative estimate of clean-up and repairs is $15,000 and we are gratefully accepting donations. We'll be bringing in a professional company to clean and combat mold after help from volunteers on Saturday, July 3rd.

Electricity is currently turned off to most of the building, with temporary lights installed in the basement. We are hopeful we can get the professionals in and the electricity on before next Saturday's outdoor screening of Gammera the Invincible.

At the Senate, DTOS will be forever grateful to all of you for supporting our efforts to preserve Detroit's musical heritage, architectural history and love of the movies.
